October 6, 2025

We had 60 Alumni, 2 guests, and 2 Dominican Friars at the luncheon today at the TAT. We were able to recognize Michele and Mary Anne for all the work and effort into hosting us during 2025.

My brother Paul gave “Devine Mercy Novena and Chaplet” pamphlets to all in attendance. He presented a brief history of St. Faustina, the portrait of Jesus which Jesus requested of her to create, and the prayers comprising the Devine Mercy Novena and Chaplet. Of particular importance to us in our senior years, Paul said, is the fast track to heaven promised us by praying the chaplet for ourselves, or for a dying person in our presence.

Several Alumni handed in short stories of their experiences at Aquinas to be put on our website. Look for them on our website(www.columbusaquinas.com) in the Vignette and Other Vignettes sections.

Aquinas lapel pins created and donated by John Bonn, class of 1957, were handed out to those alumni not yet having one, and to all desiring additional ones.

We were led in prayer by Father Paul Marich, O.P., for our recently deceased classmates and those that are ill. Father Stephen Dominic Hayes, O.P. led us in thanks for our meal.

We plan to send out our annual newsletter around December 1, 2025. Those who have email addresses on file will receive the letter via email. Others will receive the letter via standard mail.

The 50/50 winners this week were Terry Kane, class of 1964, and Edward Spiers, class of 1965.

Our next alumni luncheon will be the first Monday of April 2026. Stay safe and healthy, and we look forward to seeing you at that luncheon.
