Aquinas President’s Letter
September 14, 2026
We had 55 Alumni, 12 Father Smith Scholars, 5 St. Charles execs including Jim Lower, Head of School, Richard Ey, principal, Jamie Lawler, Director of Advancement, and Lou Fabro, Director of Alumni Affairs guest, Father Juan Macias Marquez, O.P., St. Charles Chaplain, at the luncheon today at St. Charles. Also attending were Father Stephen Dominic Hayes, O.P. and our former Chaplain, and Father Paul Marich O.P. Pastor of St. Patrick Church and our new Chaplain.
We received a warm welcome from both Richard Ey, and Father Juan Macias Marquez.
We were able to say farewell to our former Chaplain, Father Stephen Dominic Hayes who was transferred to St. Dominic Parish in Youngstown. Father then gave us a short and sincere message of goodbye.
We then asked each of the Father Smith Scholars to introduce themselves and they did a wonderful job.
Father Marich led us in prayer for the 3 alums that have died since the August luncheon, and all our ill alumni.
The TAT served us their usual great lunch and were appropriately recognized.
Several of our alumni were able to visit the Aquinas Museum Display.
Our next alumni luncheon will be Monday October 5, 2026 at the TAT. Stay safe and healthy, and we look forward to seeing you at that luncheon.
Lou Nobile, class of 1957
