The 1925 graduates numbered 96, up from 66 in 1924. Of the 96 graduates in 1925, 14 became Dominican Friars. The 1925 varsity athletic programs competed in the City League (football 5W 2L 1T [1st place City League], basketball 6W 14L [6th place City League], baseball 4W 3L [City League 3rd place]). Father Patrick Heasley, O.P. became president of Aquinas in 1923 (1923 thru 1925).
Luncheons Planned for 2026
The Corrova family is still willing to host our 2026 luncheons so currently we plan to schedule luncheons for the first Mondays of April, May, June, August and October, and the 2nd Monday of September. We have been in discussion with our host, the St. Charles Alumni Association, regarding the upcoming September 14, 2026, luncheon and the possible expansion of it to include alumni from other closed Diocesan schools. Stay tuned to your emails or the website for further information.

Since its inception $552,219 in scholarships to area Catholic High Schools have been given to 197 deserving 8th grade graduates of Parochial schools in the Columbus Diocese. Many local funeral homes have information for contributions in lieu of flowers for deceased alumni. Contact Tim Mentel (614-813-3341) for more information.
Masses for Deceased Alumni
Father Stephen Dominic Hayes, and other Dominican Friars at St. Patrick Church in Columbus offer Masses for our deceased alumni. From November1, 2024 through October 31, 2025, we had 35 Masses offered. Since we have been keeping track 1096 Masses have been offered. We review the obituary columns in the Dispatch and The Catholic Times on a regular basis. We depend upon Alumni to let us know of the deaths of classmates now residing outside of Columbus. Please contact me at 614-313-5889 or Lngolf57@att.net if you know of a death that we may have missed.
Email Addresses Needed
Obviously, the more email addresses we have, the less our mailing cost will be. We have about 812 still believed to be living names on our roster with addresses, and 357 of them have email addresses. If you have an email address, and are not positive that we have it, please send it to Lou Nobile at Lngolf57@att.net. If you have a new mailing address or phone number, please send it to us at the address shown on our letterhead.
Website
Our website, www.columbusaquinas.com, is run by our webmaster, Steve Brown, class of 1960, and is the place to receive information regarding your Alumni Association. The “Message Board” on the site is a safe way to pass on information to your old classmates. If you want to communicate with a particular alum, there is information on the front page of the site on how to obtain an address, phone number or email address.
Aquinas Vignettes
If you have visited the website recently you will have noticed sections called “Aquinas Vignettes,” and “More Vignettes.” During 2025 a few interesting and humorous stories have been posted so take a look and be impressed. We encourage any alum who has a short story to tell regarding their experience at Aquinas to submit it to our webmaster, Steve Brown (60) (sdb1215@sbcglobal.net).
